Listening to current popular songs recently, I found myself thinking how terrible most of it was. Either versions of beats which came in and out of fashion 20 years ago, general noise with no structure, or lyrical nonsense. Also, what’s going on with people “singing” with an accent?
With those thoughts in my head, I realised that I was becoming one of those older people that I remember from when I was younger. One of those older people who damns chart music, talking about how it was much better years ago.
I didn’t see this coming. I thought that as I listened to music often, that my tastes and ability to stay current would continue on as music went through styles and trends. I was wrong.
